Abstract: The article focuses on the different ways in which Russian cinema constructs the image of Ukraine and the West after the annexation of Crimea in 2014. Through the analysis of selected works, we show how they aim, through film art, to legitimize Russia's geopolitical interests and build a collective identity in which Russia figures as a "victim" and "protector of moral values".
