Abstract: The aim of this paper is to reflect on the impact of gender-inclusive discourse on techniques for teaching grammatical gender in French. Gender-balanced language and a gender-inclusive approach are the subject of lively debate in French social, cultural, and linguistic spheres, which is beginning to influence the techniques used to teach the formation of the feminine gender in education. First, the article will define and delimit this concept in relation to a number of other concepts, such as feminist pedagogy, inclusive education, queer pedagogy or tolerant pedagogy. In the second part of the article, she will clarify the issue of gender-balanced language in France and its forms and focus on specific examples of gender-inclusive techniques or grammatical rules in teaching grammatical gender in French. She will also reflect on the impact that this phenomenon may have on the process of language acquisition itself and on its effective mastery by students.
