Abstract: The paper examines the weekly Tirnauer Wochenblatt / Nagyszombati Hetilap, published in Trnava between 1869 and 1918, which served as a unique source documenting the everyday life of the local German-speaking and Hungarian-speaking community. The primary objective of the study is to reconstruct the linguistic image of minorities through corpus-based and thematic analysis of fixed, idiomatic, and free word combinations containing ethnonyms.
