The Language Dimension of Academic Migration in the Context of Global Education

Abstract: The article deals with the phenomenon of academic migration in a global context. It analyzes the causes and motivational factors of migration of highly qualified persons, experts, researchers, university teachers, and at the same time tries to identify its consequences both for the country of origin of migrants and for the destination country. At the same time, the article examines the characteristics of the concepts of "brain drain", "brain circulation", "brain exchange", and "brain waste". The article is based on available scientific literature and statistical data and highlights the need for more comprehensive policies across science, education, and migration.
