Abstract: Exploring the impact of alternative media on public opinion is currently a challenge not only for the academic community but also for policymakers and the general public. The paper focuses on identifying the lexis used by alternative media in reporting on the war in Ukraine and analyzes the Infovojna corpus. The first part of the paper introduces the theoretical level of the concept of alternative media. The second part familiarizes the reader with CDA (Critical Discourse Analysis), the methodology chosen for our paper. The third part analyses the lexis used by the Infovojna media in reporting on two superpowers, namely the Russian Federation and the United States of America.
