Differences in the Discursive Strategies of Humorous Communities on Slovak Social Media

Abstract: This contribution analyzes humorous online communities operating within the Slovak segment of social media, specifically Facebook and Instagram. In light of the growing influence of digital humor, we examine the diverse discursive strategies and argumentative tactics through which these communities express political attitudes, critique social developments, and construct group identities. The research shows that the discursive practices of these communities are not random; rather, they dynamically adapt to the political preferences, cultural values, and communicative norms of their audiences.
